We have also received this week a couple of new sneakers from Vans Vault. As part of the Flannel Pack we present the Era in two colorways and the Sk8 Hi in one colorway. All of them feature premium leathers and beautiful wintery plaid check patterns.

Graphic designer Lukas Schoenthal send us some images from his final university project and we are very happy to be part of it. As part of a calendar that he developed, he illustrated a scene that happened in front of our store on our infamous bench, during a relaxed lunch among friends. It is actually a while ago, shortly after opening the store, at least if I remember right. The illustrations came out really great.
His complete work ended up getting a Red Dot Design Award. Congrats to that!
Some of the locations in the ‘Shuffle’ video by Bombay Bicycle Club seem very familiar to us….. Interesting!
Phil and Lia are in Copenhagen at the moment, checking out some shows, tradeshows, showrooms and hopefully also partying a little, not that we have any doubt.
As usual our man Silas from Soulland is being an excellent host. Aside from the traditional Soulland dinner, Silas took the crew today to Andersen & Berners, heritage Danish hat makers, who also produce the Soulland Adler Hat.
Andersen & Berners gives a behind the scenes look at the craftsmanship of hat making, a lost tradition, which is thankfully coming back in recent months, due to higher demand again. During the last Pitti show, we had a meeting with the fine people of Borsalino, who reminded us, that during the high times of hat making (which is a while ago actually), it was your hat which showed your true class – not the watch, the shoes or even your car – THE HAT.
Anyways, luckily our man Benji is also in Copenhagen these days and was nice enough to document the visit at Andersen & Berners. Take a look behind the scenes after the jump.
The summer cannot really decide on its weather – cold, warm, wet, dry, its a complete mess, at least in Berlin it is. Today we started playing around with Polyvore, a really dope online tool that lets you create so called ’sets’. We decided to compile our perfect Saturday ‘Day Outfit’. Perfect for cruising around town, having lunch on a summery terrasse and a lot more!

We were very glad to host the photography exhibition by Alastair Wiper at Soto. The talented photographer works with Hendrik Vibskov in his day job. We love the sarcastic and deep comments that he places below his images. In case you did not make it to the exhibition or do not have time to come in, Alastair made sure that the whole city can enjoy his work and plastered one super sized image of his on our outside wall!
