Fashion week is upon us again and we cannot wait to welcome you all in our store this week. Make sure to pass by, say hello, check out the new Spring/Summer 2012 Collections that have in part already arrived… and more importantly, make sure to pass by our party on Wednesday. Stussy and Holden are in the house at Flamingo… enough said!
Next week Berlin Fashion Week, Bread & Butter, Seek, Capsule and everything else is upon us again. The European fashion world reunites in Berlin and we are looking forward to welcome all of you in our city. We have a bunch of events planned next week, but the main one is our party together with Stussy and Holden, celebrating the get together of the iconic streetwear brand and outerwear maker Holden from Portland.
We have an amazing DJ line-up ready for you, including the one and only Zombie Boy. The party takes place on January 18th, 2012, at Flamingo, an up and coming club, that you do not want to miss out on.

This coming weekend, December 4th, the Torstrasse will be hosting the TORDAY. We teamed up with some friends and wanted to make sure that you guys cannot only shop in our stores this Sunday, but that you will also get a nice culinary treatment while doing so. Each store (Firmament, Civilist, Made My Day, Soto, etc) teamed up with a gastro partner to offer something to eat/drink next to the regular shopping.
We are happy to announce that Soto teamed up with Bixels (Mulackstrasse). Daniel from Bixels will create a special Potato with Rotkohl and Duck this Sunday – the Bixels Tor Edition Potato if you want to call it that way.
Come by, shop, eat, drink, chill with us and everybody else on Torstrasse. We are looking forward to see you here!
On Sunday we took part in the BurnOut GoKart race organized by MadeMyDay. Fabian put together a great list of teams, including Uslu Airlines, Firmament, FR Racing, Graviteam, YamYam, Nike Stadium, Studio Anti, Dogs on Wheels, the Wild Kart team and Soto. In the afternoon we took off by bus from Torstrasse and made our way to the Spreewaldring Kart Center. It took a little longer than expected, but we managed to get there. A full 80 minute bus rate and lots of bragging later we had a 20 minute warm up run and after those 20 minutes most of the people, including us, understood that this was not going to be an easy 90 minute race.
Our Soto Team (Lia, Omer and David) went into the race just hoping to make a nice mid-field rank. After a couple of laps we realized that we might actually be able to keep up with the pros. A mix of adrenaline and ambitiousness put us into second spot about 15 minutes before the race. We were dead, everything was hurting – fingers, the back, the legs and we still had to go 15 minutes. Lia was in the Kart and raced her last rounds – no complaining, pure team geist. Finally Omer decided that he wanted to win this one and took another shot after just having handed over the Kart to Lia before. The beast in Omer came out and he went back into the kart for the last 10 minutes of the race. It got really heated on the track. Uslu Airlines aka Supersonic had just changed as well and Feride was back on the track. With complications on track the Supersonic team had to put in an extra driver change and without anybody realizing at first FR Racing came out of nowhere and went from 3rd spot to first.
What can we say? It was a blast. True team spirit all the way, everybody gave everything and on a beautiful Sunday late afternoon we could not have imagined being anywhere else but on the race track, giving it all. We are proud to have won 3rd place, congratulate Supersonic for the 2nd and FR Racing for the win. They all deserved it. After a quick Bratwurst and potato salad dinner, we made our way back home – tired, broken…. and as the new week started we still feel the afternoon of racing in our bones. Our mind set onto next year already!

Here comes a first quick recap of our Puma event at Soto yesterday. Celebrating the release of the Undefeated Cali Canvas Clyde Pack (available online here), we hosted a nice and chilled our BBQ for our people. At first we were not very lucky with the weather, but a great thanks goes out to all of you for sticking it out with us and hanging around, until the good old sun came back.
It was great having you at Soto yesterday and especially nice seeing you stick around for such a long time. A great thank you also goes out to our caterer, ‘Iss Kind, Iss’, to Coke Light, to Langnese, to our friend and DJ Artoo for providing the perfect tunes for the afternoon and of course Puma for allowing us to celebrate with our friends and extended family.

This weekend we celebrated the release of the new Puma x Undefeated Cali Canvas Clyde Pack. We made a nice setup in our first room with all shoes of the pack lined up and styled our entire third room for the release. Old doors and windows acted as a nice back-drop for the room, complemented with vintage Berlin sub-way lamps, a desk setup for the man behind the collaboration, Eddie Cruz, and some other nice details.
Starting at 4pm on Saturday, we hosted a BBQ real American style for our Berlin community, including excellent catering, American bear, ice cream and more. A recap of that is coming shortly.

This coming Saturday, June 11th, we are hosting the soUNDFTD Event, the official launch of the second drop from the Puma x Undefeated Collection – the Cali Canvas Clydes.
Not only will you be able to get first grabs on the new Undefeated Puma Canvas Clyde sneakers, but you can have real US style BBQ and beer right on Torstrasse.
Artoo is bringing on the tunes, we bring on the food, Puma brings on the sneaker heat. Starts at 4pm, come hungry!!!
